Dear Omniloreans:

The Curriculum Committee is pleased to announce our outstanding Summer 2017 Trimester slate of topics!  Our wide range of topics include: European History: 1914-1949; Modern Korea; Winners and Losers in the Age of Automation; Grace Without God; Calling All Thespians; A Friendship That Changed Our Minds; America’s White Working Class: A Culture in Crisis; How Nutrients Changed Civilization and many others. 

Enclosed in this package are the descriptions of topic choices and your ballot for the Summer 2017 Trimester.  Please note that your response is due by February 9th to ensure time for computer processing and distribution back to you.  The trimester starts the first week of May and ends the last week of August.

  1. We are continuing the online option to enroll for spring courses, while still retaining the former options listed below:  Members may use our form-fill enrollment webpage, with convenient pull-down selections for S/DGs and day/time availability.  Go there in one click from the What’s Happenin box near the top of our Omnilore.org homepage.  Instructions on the webpage will guide you through the simple, quick process. (You will receive email acknowledgement of your selections.)   or
  2. Place your ballot in the Curriculum Committee box in L8 (black cabinet), or
  3. Return your ballot by mail (address is on the back of the ballot form)

Send it to Omnilore (PMB 236, P. O. Box 7000, Redondo Beach, CA 90277-8710), or

  1. If you have email, why not vote that way?

                                               i.     Check off the enclosed registration (Selection) Form.

                                             ii.     Then simply compose an email with that information.

                                            iii.     Email it to Enrollment@Omnilore.org or

  1. You can call in your voting preferences to Johan at (310) 215-1848, reading from your checked form.
  2. In either case please be sure to include ALL of the following information:
    1. Your name (we often get one or two without a name!)
    2. The number of courses you wish to sign up for (0, 1, 2, 3, 4)
    3. Your order of course preferences, including backups (as many as possible!)
    4. Any time slots that you cannot make.
    5. Any folks you want or need to take a course with (please keep this to a minimum)

P.S.     Please note that the books listed for each course are only possible candidates.  Do not buy any until the  pre-meeting when your class will decide what they will use as a core text, if any.
